Improve your club’s Media:
Remember writing letters and making phone calls? Still prefer that? Well, times have changed, and clubs can either adapt or maintain their status quo. If you want to adapt you need to understand that social media has exploded. Clubs are doubling their membership by talking to non-members in a language they understand. Clubs have increased their service dollars by reaching out to new audiences. There is no right or wrong, just options. Why not at least look at this option?
You may think you know your job on the executive, but so much has changed in the last 2 years that if you have not received the most recent training, you may be at risk. All new and returning Club executive officers are required to attend this very important training on what is expected of you as you serve your club members.
Are you new to Kin? Do you find things confusing? Do you have some ideas to help your club but aren't sure how to express yourself to the other members? Then attend this most important seminar and learn about Kin and how to help your club

Good afternoon Governor Dave
On behalf of Picton Kinsmen I would like to express our gratitude to you, the D6 BOD and the Brockville Kinsmen organizing committee for hosting FLC.
I have attended several events over the last few years and I must say this was by far the best organized and most informative to date.
The topics we discussed were not only timely and informative but the group leaders did an amazing job presenting.
The meals were superb and your choice of entertainment, trivia and poker Saturday night, was a great way to close out the weekend with most attendees participating.
Once again thank you very much for all your hard work on behalf of Kin.
I very much look forward to seeing everyone at D6 convention in the spring.

Family of Kin,
I echo the sentiments of PSJ from the Picton Kinsmen, great organization at this years FLC, the breakout sessions were both relevant and well presented. And having such a large turnout for a D6 event helps build engagement within the District and an enthusiasm for Kin.
I have attached a copy of the KIN invitation to our annual interclub auction on December 11th 2017. We hope to see lots of familiar faces again this year and are really looking forward to seeing new faces as well.
Have a great Kin Year!
We are family in Kin!

On behalf of the District Council and all of the clubs in District I would like to congratulate Chair Tony, his committee and all the members of the Brockville club for hosting what can easily be described as the best Fall Leadership Conference in many years. I heard so many positive things about the event starting with Friday night when I hosted the District Council meeting and I suggested we order Pizza from Bernie’s.. They were all excited when they saw Bernie’s had a Kinsmen Pizza on his menu, and of course they ordered it. Everyone said they wished they could have a Bernie’s in their town.
From the moment the door opened Saturday morning where Karen’s muffins welcomed everyone, the club members really pulled it together. They say the success of any convention is usually measured by the food – and everybody complimented both meals. The lunch was really great and I heard so many positive comments on both Doreen’s fantastic Tomato macaroni soup and Lori P.’s incredible Italian Wedding soup. It was the same with supper as people raved over Jim’s salads and the incredible steaks cooked by chef Denis and Erik.
Tony Donnie Steve Scot and Doreen deserve a special note of appreciation as the were there on Friday to set up the hall, but more importantly they were there all day Saturday, operating behind the scenes making sure everything went smoothly, as we would transition from meetings to breakout sessions to meals. Another measure of a successful convention is when no one notices if anything went wrong. That is because Tony and gang fixed any problem before anyone noticed – especially the fuses blowing continuously 😊 Special thanks to Don who returned early Sunday morning to help pack all the District paraphernalia and kitchen supplies into my van and finish cleaning up.
As the District Governor, I certainly appreciated everything the club and its members did to ensure this event was a success. KUDOS on a job done superbly well. Everyone I talked to said this was the best FLC they had ever been to, and the accolades continue through Facebook.
To Chair Tony and his committee and to all the members of the Kinsmen Club of Brockville – THANK YOU.
